LEADERSHIP

The four senior practitioners.

The firm is led by four people. Two anchoring the Practice. Two anchoring the Platform. Both halves operate to the same standard, and every client engagement involves both.

PRACTICE LEADERSHIP
Practice Leadership

Juan DeAngulo

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Juan DeAngulo is the firm's co-founder and the senior practitioner who carries the firm's strategic direction and senior client relationships. His career spans more than two decades in institutional investment management, primarily in real estate, where he co-founded Elion Partners and scaled the firm to approximately $4 billion in assets under management over eleven years. Earlier, he was at Transwestern Investment Management, where he managed an approximately $1 billion institutional account. He brings the discipline of investment management — analytical rigor, multi-decade time horizons, and an operator's view of capital efficiency — to the firm's strategic posture and client relationships.

Juan also co-founded Inselligence with the laser focus of transforming the way that companies exeucte on their commercial systems. He has been involved in the firm's intellectual development since its founding, and the firm's strategic decisions— the architectural-first methodology, the institutional-durability principle — reflect his investment-management discipline applied to a services-and-software firm.

Juan operates bilingually in English and Spanish at native fluency and carries deep Latin American and North American capital networks. He is based in Miami and is the firm's primary executive contact for client relationships in Latin America, for partnership conversations, and for the firm's strategic posture in the institutional investment community.

Juan is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management program and holds full HBS alumni status. He also completed Harvard Graduate School of Design's Advanced Management Development in Real Estate program and holds an MBA in International Business from Regent University.

Juan brings substantial board experience from his tenure at Elion Partners (2013–2024), Wessex Corporation in Chicago (2011–2021), Grupo Contempo in Bogotá (2011–2013), and the Harvard Real Estate Board (2019–2024), where he has supported institutional investment communities across the Americas.

Practice Leadership

Joshua Rodriguez

Chief Practitioner & Revenue Officer

Joshua Rodriguez leads the firm's practice engagements and commercial function. His career has been built operating revenue functions at scale in B2B technology companies — most recently as Vice President of Sales at Safety Plus, where he led the team that produced 165%+ year-over-year growth and launched the firm's first outbound go-to-market motion. Before Safety Plus, Joshua led sales and corporate development through funding rounds at Tigertext, producing 315% growth, and held senior commercial roles at Voalte and ICS, both healthcare-technology firms. His earlier career included operating roles at Platinum Equity, the global PE firm.

Joshua is the firm's senior practitioner most likely to be the lead on a CRO or CEO inquiry. The career arc — front-line seller through senior commercial leadership through PE operating experience —gives him the vocabulary and the operating instincts to engage with both founder-led firms and PE portfolio companies on equal footing. The Diagnostic engagements he leads typically involve the kind of executive interviewing that requires senior operating fluency rather than analytical pattern-matching.

Joshua holds a BA in Business Administration from Concordia University Irvine. He operates bilingually in English and Spanish and works across the firm's three verticals (industrial, construction, and B2B services), with deep operating experience in technology-services firms and in PE-backed scaleenvironments.

ARCHITECTS OF THE PLATFORM
Architects of the platform

Carlos DeAngulo

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Carlos DeAngulo is the firm's co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, leading the technical direction of the platform's deterministic forecasting and pipeline-scoring algorithms. The intellectual roots of the algorithms go back to a multiregional sales operation in the early 1990s, where Carlos was involved in the original implementation of the mathematical models that the modern platform is the production-grade engineering of. The technical lineage is the firm's most distinctive claim, and Carlos is the practitioner who carries it.

Carlos's career spans more than three decades in software engineering at progressively senior levels. He held senior engineering and operating roles at EDS and at Texas Instruments earlier in his career, including positions as Software Engineer, Director of Software, Vice President of Engineering, and Chief Operating Officer across multiple software organizations. He was trained in agile software development directly with Ron Jeffries, one of the three inventors of Extreme Programming, and brings that engineering discipline to the firm's platform development practice. He has co-founded a custom software development firm, where he led both technical architecture and the operational discipline of delivery.

Carlos is the senior practitioner most likely to be the lead on a technical inquiry — integration questions, platform architecture discussions, the deterministic-vs-generative AI conversation, and the algorithmic framing that the firm's most technical buyers want to engagewith directly.

Architects of the platform

Olga Beatriz España

Head of Development Operations

Olga Beatriz España leads the firm's platform engineering, quality, delivery, and agile process functions. Her career spans thirty years of systems engineering experience across finance, cooperatives, technology, and retail —domains where the operational reliability and data-integrity discipline that platform engineering requires has always been the precondition of business viability. She brings that operational discipline to Inselligence's platform engineering, where the deterministic-AI claim depends on engineering rigor that matches the analytical rigor of the methodology.

Olga holds a Systems Engineering degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) and a Master's in Software Engineering from the same institution. Her career trajectory is the kind of operating background that produces senior engineering leaders with both depthand discipline.

Olga is the senior practitioner most likely to be the lead on inquiries from CISO and security-team buyers. The platform's security architecture, data-handling discipline, infrastructure choices, and operational reliability all run through her — and she is the right starting point for clients whose engagement begins with a security-team diligence pass.

HOW THE FOUR OPERATE TOGETHER

Each engagement involves the practice and the platform. The leadership architecture reflects this.

Every client engagement involves the Practice and the Platform together. The Diagnostic is led by a senior practitioner. The platform is connected to the client's CRM in a plug and play session that lasts only minutes. The deterministic AI analysis runs on the Platform     infrastructure, and the senior practitioner interprets the findings in the context of the client's operating reality.

The architecture is the firm's structural integrity. Most firms in this category lead with one half or the other —methodology firms operate without proprietary technology, software vendors operate without senior services depth. We operate with both, integrated.
